The villages east of Lamphun are hill villages with their own rotation systems, their own calendar and their own reasons for the crops they grow.
Three days and two nights is the minimum that respects that. A day trip from the city is not the same thing and the villagers would say so themselves.
Bring warm layers even in the warm season. The road climbs fast and the nights are cold at altitude.
